Where are my 4th of July fans?

I love working on red white and blue cards and layouts. The colors are so perfect together and if you find just the right paper, everything comes together beautifully.

That’s why I was drawn to this Doodlebug Design Inc. layout and card kit. This is actually a year old. I got it last year in Salt Lake City at Mom and Me Scrapbooking store. And if you’re ever in Salt Lake, you do need to go stop in at Mom and Me because the store is so cute. They don’t just have scrapbooking and card making stuff. They have gift items too for the non-scraper. The store is so cute and whimsical. You will love it in there. I could write a whole blog post about how awesome it is but you should definitely check them out. You can find them on Facebook as well. Just look for Mom and Me Scrapbooking.

But let’s talk about this layout and card kit that I got from them, it’s by Doodlebug Design and so everything that Doodlebug does is actually very cute all by itself. What makes it even more perfect is that it’s a layout and card kit so it comes with everything predesigned and all you have to do is follow the directions included in the kit.

The kit itself is no longer available, but you can buy the individual products and make the layouts and the cards without buying the kit.

I think it’ll be a little pricier, but you’re still getting the same items that are in this kit and there is so many leftover pieces and papers that are not used so you could make so much more than just these two layouts and four cards. I’ll include a list of the products, so you can shop for them yourself. I checked on scrapbooking.com and they have all of these individual products that you can purchase. They are sold out of the layout and card kit though.

The Doodlebug Design Hometown USA collection is the perfect collection for all of your Fourth of July or Memorial Day or any patriotic layouts that you might be interested in creating. The products in this kit could be used anywhere from Fourth of July parades to even military layouts. One of the cards that we made actually says thank you for your service.

The directions for this kit are very user-friendly and easy to follow. I think start to finish, the whole kit can be completed in about two hours or less.

If you decide to purchase all the items to make these layouts, and you don’t have the instructions let me know and I’ll be happy to share my instructions with you or maybe we could do a virtual crop to make these cards and layouts together.
